Then he (Jesus) said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.” -Luke 12:15
Prosperity on its own isn't evil: the love for it (greed) is. Prosperity isn't about possessions; it's about the supplier of these possessions, whose name is Jesus. Life is about JESUS and when JESUS is center, all things will be added on. They don't complete you, they supplement you, but even if they fade, JESUS WILL REMAIN! Trust in JESUS, NOT providence!
