When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified. But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” he said. “Don’t be afraid.” [Matthew 17:6-7]
Aren't you glad that most of the times when God speaks to man, His first command is 'Don't be afraid'. After Jesus rose from the dead when He met His disciples, He said, 'Peace'. (Luke 24:36)
God is so passionate in ensuring that we are not afraid of Him. We should reverently fear the Lord, acknowledging that He is Almighty God but God really doesn't want us to be afraid of Him. Come to Him because He is your Abba, even though He is Almighty God. He loves you!
You are the child whom the Father loves, in whom He is well pleased!
