1 February 2014

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” [Matthew 27:46]

This is the first time Jesus called God as 'My God'. Before this, He called God 'My Father'. At the cross, Jesus took our sinful nature upon Himself and became the instrument of the world's sin which God was to judge.

If Jesus cried out 'My God, my God why have You forsaken me,' then by the same token, we can cry out to God, 'My Daddy, My Daddy, why have you so blessed me, loving me so lavishly!' Hallelujah!
