So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” [Acts 16:31]
When we believe in Jesus, we are saved. Now 'saved' in the original text (Greek) is not just 'to rescue'. It is to rescue, but it also means to "heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole"
In other words, when we believe in Jesus, He will make our life whole. He will enable us to do well in whatever we do. He will heal us of our hurts and completely save us, from hell to heaven rescue for eternity, to daily saving even here on earth!
