He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. [Psalm 23:2]
What does 'lying' in 'green pastures' for a sheep mean? It means source of rest and source of food! Good food will produce the spiritual outcomes we so over-focus on. All we have to do is eat in the presence of God. Eat from Jesus, the bread of life.
And the still waters? It's our source of drinking! We may feel thirsty, but our shepherd is leading us beside still waters for a refreshing drink.
All that we need is found in Jesus, our precious shepherd. Seek Him first and His righteousness and all the solutions to your physical issues and concerns will be added unto you where Jesus is center. (Matthew 6:33)
