Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness... [Ephesians 6:14]
We interpret the Bible with Bible: what is truth and righteousness? The Bible tells us that Jesus is the way, the (definite article) truth and the life. (John 14:6) So Jesus is the truth.
What about righteousness? The Bible says that Jesus became sin for us so that in Him we may become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21) In Jesus, we are righteous. Therefore, Jesus is our righteousness!
Wow... the armor here points back toward Jesus Christ! Live in the love of your Savior: healer, redeemer, lover. Hallelujah!
