Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), [Galatians 3:13]
The Bible tells us cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree. What is a tree made of? Wood. What is the cross made of? Wood. Christ died on a cross of wood. Hence He became a curse.
Jesus became sin that we may become righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21)
Jesus was striped that we may be healed (Isaiah 53:5)
Jesus became poor that we might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9)
By the same token, Jesus, who hanged on the cross, became cursed that we might be BLESSED!
