#junehols2014 [12 June 2014] Buddha Tooth and Relic Museum

Did Physics and General Paper in the morning...wow was it torturous. But then again praise the Lord, because I've finished my final set of homework before Camp Kadash. Too much to describe about Camp Kadash in a single blog post, so I'll leave that for next time. Or not.

Met some friends and had lunch at Bugis, before heading off to Chinatown to visit the Buddha Tooth and Relic Museum. I figured, why not visit other religious monuments to gain a better understanding of their faith? Well...we went there with different expectations.

Here's our testimony:

"Just because we were bored, we visited a Buddhist temple. As we were inside, we prayed over the place and declared victory of God. At one of the floors there was some sort of strong demonic presence [we experienced an uneasiness, felt heaviness on a heart, and a pounding heart, however one of us felt peace – by God's power whom shall we fear? (We fear only God). It felt like peace in the battlefield, standing there before the enemy but unafraid for the God of angel armies is with us]. We went out of that place immediately though and we prayed again and decided to go in again. As we proclaimed His name once again we felt His presence with us in there.  I guess as we proclaimed his victory those candle lights flickered. Praise God. I believe God is with us there and has reigned over whatever evil that is there.

What we learned is that God's presence is with us everywhere we go. But sometimes we don't feel it because we don't practice his presence often, where we are not actively aware of His presence. However, when we are actively aware of His presence, we can feel the presence of the Lord even in demonic locations. This is what it means to be Kadash, set apart; light in the midst of darkness; good in the midst of evil; life in the midst of death.

So when we go back to school, or army, or work, or life, let's actively practice His presence. I believe we will have a great experience of His presence at camp, but I'm more excited about what happens after camp, how we are transformed and kept set apart by His grace. All we need to do is actively practice His presence, be it through prayer, tongues, songs or scriptures, let us practice His presence with us, be it in a spiritual (church), secular (school) or even demonic environments.

The Lord promised that He would be with us everywhere that we go. Let's not forget that. And if we do, let's constantly remind each other of His presence. Speak it out. Confess it with our mouths. (Prov 18:21) Sing "Our God", or confess Psalm 91. Even in darkness, when we practice His presence, we can expect His sweet presence, and bring light into darkness."

After that, we went to church for more pre-camp prayer and worship. It's interesting how for the first time ever, I'm getting hyped up for Megalife Camp. It's going to be awesome, and what happens after camp is going to be even more awesome than the camp itself. God is going to move mightily!
